Junior Associate

Brussels Office

RPP is currently looking for a Junior Associate to support the team working on policy and government affairs (healthcare, food and agricultural policy, and other potential sectors) in the Brussels office.

RPP is a public affairs consultancy focused on policy creation, development and communication. Our topical focus and expertise lie in healthcare, research and innovation, social policy, and related trade and market access issues. The RPP Group is today represented in Berlin, Brussels, London, Paris, Warsaw, Rome, and Madrid.

ABOUT THE JOB

Activities and tasks shall include:

  • Covering and reporting on political developments in the EU;
  • Detailed monitoring of developments on public health and policy at national level, including public health or other stakeholders and policy makers;
  • Reporting on meetings and events in the EU Institutions that you will attend;
  • Tracking of Parliamentary Questions, parliamentary reports, legislative proposals, Government communications and other relevant dossiers;
  • Servicing and supporting consultants regularly with specifically processed information, and also supporting them with ad-hoc requests and advice;

The candidates should fulfil the following criteria:

  • A first academic degree (or comparable) in preferably political sciences, law, economics, or communications is a prerequisite, higher degrees are an advantage.
  • First relevant work experience in the following areas is also of advantage: public institutions, government agencies, interest representation, consulting, healthcare.
  • Understanding and great interest in the process of political decision-making at EU level.
  • You will be required to work in a proactive work setting, involving conscientious handling of several simultaneous work orders and observing the respective deadlines.
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English (working language) is a prerequisite.
  • Proficient in the handling of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An interest in health, nutrition and/or social affairs topics (to be elaborated in your application) would be an advantage.

The internship would start as soon as possible for a period of six months. Regular performance reviews would take place.
